CTLC members joined industry leaders at the Waterways Council, Inc.’s 22nd Annual Waterways Symposium. The annual forum brings together representatives from across the maritime and inland waterways industries to discuss issues shaping the future of the nation’s waterway system. This year’s symposium addressed a range of topics, including global market trends, economic pressures, infrastructure modernization, and long-term strategies to improve resilience and reliability across inland waterways.
Chris Blanchard and Charlie Gottbrath of Cooper Consolidated attended and engaged in discussions focused on both operational challenges and policy priorities affecting inland waterway transportation. In addition to industry perspectives, the symposium featured updates from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on efforts to modernize infrastructure, improve drought resilience, and advance federal investment initiatives aimed at strengthening the inland waterway network. Participation in the symposium supports CTLC’s continued commitment to collaboration, advocacy, and the safe and efficient movement of goods along America’s inland waterways.
