CGB recently joined industry peers in Nashville, Tennessee, for the National Grain and Feed Association’s 130th Annual Convention, one of the industry’s premier gatherings. For two days, leaders from across the grain and feed sector came together to focus on advancing trade, strengthening safety, navigating market volatility, and keeping supply chains moving in a demanding operating environment.
Much of the conversation centered on a shared challenge: moving grain reliably in a complex, high‑pressure landscape. Operators, partners, and industry leaders spoke openly about what’s working, where strain remains, and what continues to require attention across the supply chain.
Some of the key themes that emerged:
• Ongoing operational pressures in trucking underscore the need for solutions centered on efficiency and productivity.
• The essential role of reliable, competitive transportation across rail, trucking, and inland waterways in keeping grain moving efficiently.
• Continued focus on infrastructure investment, particularly modernization of locks and dams, to support long‑term domestic and export competitiveness.
Together, these conversations underscored the importance of good policy, resilient infrastructure, competitive transportation networks, and strong supply chain partnerships as the industry adapts to changing global conditions.
CGB remains focused on our partnerships and practical, market‑driven solutions that support a dependable agricultural supply chain, today and for the long term.
