While construction is well underway, yesterday’s event at Mount Vernon celebrated our significant facility expansion at Ports of Indiana-Mount Vernon and what it means for our team there, the farmers we serve, and the local community.
Thank you to our outstanding Mount Vernon team and the many CGB employees who helped make the event a success, especially Kristy VanMeter, Doug VanMeter, Jason Shaw, and Tom Malecha. This investment reflects the strength of the work happening at this facility every day, as well as our valued long-standing relationship with Ports of Indiana and our shared commitment to growing agriculture and trade along the Ohio River.
We also appreciated the support of the state, local, and congressional offices that joined us to recognize the importance of this project for southwest Indiana and U.S. agriculture. These included Mayor Steve Loehr, State Senator Jim Tomes, and representatives from the offices of Senators Todd Young, Jim Banks, and Congressman Mark Messmer.
