Covington, LA – CGB was recently honored with NGFA’s Ceres, Goddess of Agriculture, award for most total membership points at the NGFA’s 125th annual convention. Adorned with Mardi Gras beads, Ceres made the journey last week from Bloomington, IL to Covington, LA, her new home at CGB’s corporate office for the coming year.
“Each year, the NGFA recognizes its industry leaders at our annual convention. This year was a special gathering because it celebrated 125 years since NGFA’s founding in 1896. Greg Beck with CGB Enterprises, who currently serves as NGFA’s industry-elected First Vice Chairman, was recognized at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs as the leading membership recruiter over the previous year. In addition, CGB was recognized as the leading NGFA-member company in membership recruiting and took home the traditional solid-bronze statue of Ceres, Goddess of the Harvest. Ceres will reside in CGB’s offices for the coming year until NGFA’s March 2022 convention in Charleston,” said Todd Kemp, Executive Director, Member Services and Outreach with NGFA.
NGFA’s purpose is to be the premier provider of member services and advocate for competitive open market principles to promote the growth and economic performance of North American agriculture in a global marketplace. “Our involvement with NGFA as an organization is critical, and we are certainly proud of the work our team did to achieve this award,” said Kelly Buchanan, Director of Marketing and Communications, CGB.
