CGB's Premium Grains SM programs are designed to match the best grains with specific needs of the individual end-use customer. CGB is proud to be the link between the end-user looking for greater value and the quality conscious producer.
Consolidated Grain and Barge Co. operates more than 60 elevators located along the Mississippi, Ohio, and Illinois Rivers. We buy grain directly from thousands of farmers, so we see grain at its best.
Many end-users are recognizing that, if they buy grain that more closely fits their needs, they can produce a more consistent product, with less expense, less byproduct, and less downtime. CGB has already developed many programs that deliver better results for end-users and is eager to understand your products and your system of production so we can design a Premium Grains SM program that will deliver results for you.
Besides benefiting the user, we believe another important reason for moving toward a value-enhanced program is that it encourages quality improvements in the production, storage, and handling of grains. The traditional commodity system often fails to reward the best producers for the higher quality grains they deliver. Instead of buying and blending lower quality grains, CGB wants to segregate grain according to its best use and ship it to those users who appreciate better performance.
